We Can’t Wait to Meet Your Kids

Sunday is the best day of the week for some kids. For others, coming to church is a new experience and they might feel a little nervous. That’s OK. Everybody is welcome at The Word Community Church, and our caring volunteers will help your child feel right at home.

Skittles?

If you’re new to The Word Community Church, you’ll notice right away that our church is diverse. One of the simple ways that we celebrate our diversity is by giving our guests a bag of Skittles. The various colors speak for themselves. And hey, who doesn’t enjoy a sweet treat on a Sunday morning?

Engaging Lessons from the Bible

Each week your kids will enjoy active, powerful lessons designed to teach them the Word of God and how it applies to their lives. Our goal is to communicate God’s truth in a way that children can understand, remember and practice in their daily lives.

We combine music and media with live instruction, games and sometimes skits. So, tell your kids to expect lots of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter on Sundays, along with powerful truth from the Bible.

Saftey

When you arrive, your child receives a tag with his or her name and a security number. This tag matches the label given to you at check-in. If your child needs you during the church, we’ll post the security number on the screen in the main service. Also, all of our volunteers are required to fill out an application and go through a background screening before serving.

The Word

“O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

Your glory is higher than the heavens.

You have taught children and infants

to tell of your strength,

silencing your enemies

and all who oppose you.”
